This paper proposes the smart phone as a central monitoring device for the bicycle and the WIFI network as a communication channel between the smart phone and the sensors. It will show how to implement the sensor boards with WIFI and relevant firmware, the software on the smart phone to communicate with the sensor boards and the evaluation results with the open source software called Goldencheetah. The knowledge in this paper is not limited to bicycles but can be expanded to any other monitoring systems using the remote sensors based on smart phone.
