The article is devoted to the actual task of developing criteria for evaluating methods of data mining to identify the technical state of the aircraft control surface actuator. A list of criteria and their practical significance are presented in the framework of the problem of recognition of failures and degradations of the electro mechanical actuator. On the basis of the proposed criteria, there may be requirements for data mining methods for their use in the system of early diagnosis (health usage monitoring system) of technical systems.
