The increasing resolution of climate and weather models has resulted in a fast growth of their data production. This calls for a modern and efficient approach to the post-processing of these data. To this end, we have developed a new software package in Python that exploits the parallel nature of the post-processing workload to process the output of EC-Earth, a coupled atmosphere-ocean model. We describe the design of our post-processing package, and present benchmark results showing the achieved speedup with increasing the number of parallel threads.
