Parse thickets provide extensive descriptive representation of text information, based on structure of paragraphs of text. This technique widely uses additional information in terms of inter-sentence word-word relations, such as same entity. It benefits from Rhetoric Structure theory and Speech act theory. Pattern Structures is generalization of Formal Concept Analysis to complex descriptions. Construction of pattern structure on Parse thickets can be very computationally difficult, thus projection technique is used to overcome it
