In this paper, a new coexistence mechanism based on baseline BAN MAC is proposed to mitigate the co-channel interference of Body Area Networks (BAN). The inter- and intra-BAN resources are allocated with the consideration of the data priorities and available bandwidth. Simulations are conducted on OMNeT++ based simulator Castalia and the results show that the efficiency of our proposed method in terms of time slots allocation and energy consumption is better than other similar protocol
