The Internet has evolved into a critical global infrastructure, affecting every facet of how we live and conduct business in all aspects while creating a myriad of entrepreneural possibilities and markets. It has become the platform through which content is pulled and pushed using various end devices. However, streaming content in a timely fashion does present a great challenge, and has a direct impact on the economic vibrance of content providers, service providers, and equipment vendors. This talk will discuss roadblocks in achieving rapid content delivery, cover the state of the art on accelerating content delivery, and present further challenges as the Internet continues to evolve.
