ustainability assessment is recognized as a powerful decision support tool that promotes actions toward sustainable development, cultivates social learning and leads to a shift in sustainability knowledge and views. The Learning Factory as a new concept for both academic and industrial learning can help to operationalize assessment tools and close the gap between academia and industry. This paper conceptualizes the Learning Factories on Sustainability Assessment which create a good environment for the operationalization of sustainability assessment tools for manufacturing organizations through education, research, and innovation
