Conclusion • Currently there is insufficient good quality evidence for the routine use of biomarkers in predicting the future behaviour of laryngeal dysplastic lesions • Only three studies (on p53, Cortacin/cyclin D1 and Ki67) showed statistically significant results • Better reporting of studies using the REMARK consensus guidelines should help to improve this in the future A Meta-Analysis of Biomarkers in Laryngeal Dysplasia
