Previous studies demonstrated that large-dose ketamine alleviated lipopolysaccharide-induced lung injury. We investigated whether a single small dose of ketamine could attenuate lung injury induced by hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (HIR) and, if so its underlying mechanisms.
