In an article published by Celik et al. in Indian Heart journal (available online on 18 December 2015), ten types of Dual LAD (left anterior descending artery) have been mentioned. In the tabular form, they have mentioned all the types according to the origin and course of short and long LAD. We appreciate the work done by them. Few points we want to emphasize. The author has mentioned two different types of Dual LAD. In the Type 7 Dual LAD, both the short and long LAD arises from proper LAD. However in the variant of Type 7 mentioned, short LAD arises from LMCA where as long LAD arises from right coronary sinus. We do not find any reference from Type 7, Type 8 and Type 9 Dual LAD. Also in 2014, Subban et al. in Journal of Invasive Cardiology described a newer type of Dual LAD and named it as the Type VII Dual LAD, which is not mentioned in the current article. In midst of this nomenclature confusion, it will be difficult for someone to further publish any case on this anomalous coronary classification. So a clarification on this topic shall be appreciated.
