Early and late mortality have significantly improved during recent decades in pediatric patients after heart transplantation (HTx). Nevertheless early and late morbidity and mortality are influenced by acute rejection, cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV), malignancy, renal failure, and graft failure.
