ResumoA formação de trombo intraprotésico é um evento comum após EVAR. Contudo, a sua história natural e impacto clínico são controversos. Consequentemente as indicações e o tipo de tratamento para esta situação não se encontram ainda estabelecidos. Neste artigo, os autores realizam uma revisão da literatura procurando clarificar a fisiopatologia, o impacto clínico e discute‐se a sua abordagem terapêutica.AbstractIntraprosthetic thrombus accumulation is a common event following EVAR. However, its’ natural course and clinical impact have remained controversial. Consequently, optimal treatment is yet to be established. This article provides a review of the literature which focuses highlighting the available evidence regarding the pathophysiology, clinical significance and therapeutic approach of this entity
