International audienceThe article examines parallels and discrepancies between the “Chantecler episode” in the ( II) and in ( VI), and finds that sometimes follows the original text and sometimes is independent of it, with the use of many citations from ancient or mediaeval . Ultimately, the poet of the manifests his desire to follow, in his own poetic work, a parodic device more ‹satirical' and politically advanced than the “version du premier Renart”
