Summary  A triplet code model of leptons and quarks is proposed. If we assume the internalA-spin,B-spin andC-spin of particles, from fundamental symmetrySO 4 the colourSU 3, horizontalSU 3, electroweakSU 2×U 1 and other higher composite symmetries are derived. By using composite-symmetry operators, the mass gap between the third generation and the first two can be derived. The modification to the standard electroweak gauge theory is also discussed in some detail.
