A new species of Catenes Distant from South America (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Lygaeoidea, Rhyparochromidae)

The genus Catenes includes two species, C. porrectus Distant from Guatemala and Panama, and C. spiculus Slater and Baranowski from Dominican Republic. Catenes australis sp. n. is described from Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru. Colour figure, and male genitalia are illustrated. A key for the three known species of Catenes , and a map with the geographic distribution of the genus is given.
