Short codes are known to have better balance and spectral characteristics than their long counterparts. In this work we show by simulations that for certain users loads their bit error performance are excellent. A CDMA network performance is investigated under different load and fading situations. We also investigate the effects of using orthogonal codewords in conjunction with concatenated short codes to further reduce the multi‐user interference in these networks.
