Excision of small non‐palpable breast lesions can be difficult and may result in the unnecessary removal of excessive surrounding breast tissue 1 . With this in mind a simple excisional biopsy technique for such lesions has been developed which employs intraoperative ultra‐sonography to guide the extent of excision.
