Key Points Question Is a culturally adapted behavioral lifestyle intervention using technology more effective than usual care for weight loss among Latino adults in primary care? Findings In this randomized clinical trial of 191 Latino patients in primary care, a culturally adapted behavioral lifestyle intervention using technology, including web-based self-monitoring and a wearable activity monitor, was more effective for weight loss over 12 months but not 24 months. Meaning These findings suggest that the culturally adapted behavioral intervention using technology was not effective for long-term weight loss over 24 months, so research to optimize intervention effectiveness over 24 months is needed.
