This cohort study assesses whether changes in overall rates of use of diagnostic cardiovascular tests were associated with changes in high-value testing recommended by guidelines and low-value testing that is expected to provide minimal benefits among a 5% national sample of Medicare beneficiaries between 2000 and 2006.
