This article aims to analyze the Educational Public Policies referred to Teaching Work during the Chilean military dictatorship (1973-1990), from two theses about the state-building in Chile: the violence and the autonomization of public power. To achieve this objective we follow the next steps: at first, we analyze the historical thesis on state-building in Chile. Then, we describe the Educational Public Policies referred to the Teacher Work built during the military dictatorship. In a third step we analyzed those public policies from the historical contributions of the thesis raised. Finally, we propose some questions and issues to be consider, built from the reflexive road traveled.
