El arte contemporáneo, al profundizar en descubrimientos de algunas de las vanguardias que cuestionaban todas las ideas heredadas, ha empujado a la filosofía del arte a reconsiderar su enfrentamiento con la estética, constante desde hace dos siglos. Una salida posible a las dificultades teóricas a las que se enfrenta hoy la filosofía consistiría en una revisión o transformación pragmática de la estética kantiana. Al igual que la belleza no residía en Kant en el objeto, sino en el modo según el cual el sujeto lo experimentaba, tampoco hoy el arte está en su soporte sino en una forma (estética) de comunicación de una comunidad. Se ofrece un esbozo de las principales líneas de esta transformación al hilo del clásico análisis de los cuatro momentos del juicio estético.The art of the present, exploring some discoveries of the avant-gardes questioning the inherited ideas has pushed the Art Philosophy to reconsider its old dispute with the Aesthetics. A way out of the theoretical problems of the philosophy today would consist in a pragmatical transformation of the Kantian aesthetics. Kant sustained that beauty is not a quality of the object, but is a way to experience it. Similarly, we could say that art is not a quality of some kind of objects, but an (aesthetical) way of the communication on them of a community. Here are summarized the main lines of these transformation following the classical analyse of the four moments of the aesthetical judgement
