Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer worldwide with the incidence of about 1,8 million newly diagnosed cases in 2018. According to the World Cancer Report 2014, in Bosnia and Herzegovina 6700 people died of cancer in 2014, and CRC was the cause of mortality in 724 patients (10%). Prevention programs including screening, state-of-the-art diagnostic modalities and therapeutic approaches to CRC are being constantly improved.
