UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS ANEKDOT MELALUI PENERAPAN STRATEGI GENIUSLEARNING SISWA KELAS X OTOMATISASI DAN TATA KELOLA PERKANTORAN (OTKP )SMK NEGERI 2 SELONG

The purpose of this study was to improve the anecdotal writing skills of class X students in Office Automation and Governance at SMK Negeri 2 Selong for the 2019/2020 academic year by applying the genius learning strategy. This research is classified as classroom action research (CAR). Classroom Action Research is one type of action research conducted by teachers to improve the quality of learning in their classrooms. This type of research is used for the reason that researchers can observe an increase in anecdotal writing skills, including learning processes and outcomes, with the application of genius learning strategies. Learning with genius learning strategies can improve the results of anecdotal writing skills. This can be seen from the average score of writing anecdotes before being given action is 64.53, after being given action at the end of the first cycle the average score becomes 75.58. The average score for writing anecdotes at the end of cycle II is 85.00. This shows an increase of 20.47 points. Overall, at the end of the second cycle, all aspects and criteria for writing anecdotes experienced a significant improvement. From the results of the research above, it is proven that the use of the genius learning strategy is considered successful and can improve the ability to write anecdotes for class X students in Office Automation and Governance at SMKN 2 Selong.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini, adalah untuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis anekdot siswa kelas X Otomatisasi dan Tata Kelola Perkantoran SMK Negeri 2 Selong tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan menerapkan strategi genius learning. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian Tindakan Kelas adalah salah satu jenis penelitian tindakan yang dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelasnya. Jenis penelitian ini digunakan dengan alasan peneliti dapat mengamati peningkatan kemampuan menulis anekdot, meliputi proses dan hasil pembelajaran, dengan diterapkannya strategi genius learning. Pembelajaran dengan strategi genius learning dapat meningkatkan hasil kemampuan menulis anekdot. Hal ini terlihat dari skor rata-rata menulis anekdot sebelum diberi tindakan adalah 64,53, setelah diberi tindakan pada akhir siklus I skor rata-rata menjadi 75,58. Skor rata-rata menulis anekdot pada akhir siklus II yaitu 85,00. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 20,47 poin. Secara keseluruhan pada akhir siklus II ini semua aspek dan kriteria menulis anekdot mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan. Dari hasil penelitian di atas terbukti bahwa penggunaan strategi genius learning dinilai berhasil dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis anekdot siswa kelas X Otomatisasi dan Tata Kelola Perkantoran SMKN 2 Selong.
