Administration of anticoagulant citrate and dextrose (ACD-A) chelates ionized calcium in blood and causes hypocalcemia in plateletpheresis donors. The aim of the study was to observe the effects of oral calcium (Ca) supplementation during plateletpheresis on various parameters related to calcium metabolism.
