On 2022 July 8, NASA shared$^{a}$ the list of five public showcase targetswhich have been observed with the new \textit{James Webb Space Telescope}(JWST), and whose data are expected to be released to the public aroundTuesday, July 12. One of these targets is the galaxy cluster SMACS~J0723.3-7327which acts as a gravitational lens and was recently imaged with the\textit{Hubble Space Telescope} in the framework of the \textit{ReionizationLensing Cluster Survey} program (RELICS). To facilitate studies by thecommunity with the upcoming JWST data, we publish here a lens model forSMACS0723 -- including mass-density and magnification maps. We identify in theHST imaging five multiple-image families for three of which membership andredshift are secured by public spectroscopic data. For the remaining twosystems we rely on robust photometric redshift estimates. We use here the\texttt{Light-Traces-Mass} lens modeling method, which complements theparametric models already available on the RELICS website and elsewhere, andthus helps span a representative range of solutions. The new models publishedhere can be accessed via a link given below$^{b}$. It will be interesting toexamine by how much and which properties of the mass models change, andimprove, when JWST data are incorporated.
