As part of the GGU programme of hydropower investigations in West Greenland, glaciological and climatological measurements were made at the Qamanarssup sermia field station for the seven summers 1980- 1986. However, the station was deactivated at the end of the 1986 field season (Braithwaite, 1987) and only a reduced measurement programme was carried out in 1987-1988.
