In a recent Editorial on the role of antifungal treatment in hematology, Maertens et al. analyzed the diagnostic and therapeutic antifungal strategies which are used in particular in neutropenic patients.[1][1] Among the various topics covered, some observations concerned antifungal prophylaxis.
