The Penikat layered intrusion is located in southwest Lapland, Northern Finland. The intrusion contains two main units: the marginal series and layered series, the layered series being further divided into five megacyclic units (MCUs). The intrusion contains three major PGE-enriched zones. The middle one, termed Ala-Penikka PGE reef contains a large PGE enriched pothole structure.
