The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child: Does its structure and working methods optimize efficacy and promote child participation?

This paper discusses the constitution and working methods of the Committee before suggesting that its membership requirements and working methods are inadequate to optimize alignment with the four pillars of the Convention and ensure persons of high moral character and credential fill Committee ranks.   Recommendations for reform are proposed.
