We have studied the influence of monodisperse Ag/SiO_2 core–shell-type nanoparticles with a core diameter of 17 nm and a dielectric-shell thickness within 0–40 nm on the photoluminescence of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) excited by laser at a wavelength corresponding to the plasmon resonance in Ag/SiO_2 nanoparticles. It is established that the intensity of QD luminescence in the composite system exhibits up to 8.7-fold increase.
