The systematic error in experiments concerning searching for the electric dipole moment of an electron due to the Stark interference between the E 1 and M 1 amplitudes of the transition from the $${{H}^{3}}{{\Delta }_{1}}$$ state to $${{C}^{1}}\Pi $$ of a ThO molecule has been calculated. The calculations show that the error is about three orders of magnitude lower than the current limitation on the electric dipole moment of electron.
