The purpose of this study was to explore the changes in macular thickness (MT) in normal people, patients without obvious diabetic retinopathy (NDR) and patients with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) and to study the possible risk factors for early diabetic retinopathy (DR).
