Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important zoonotic pathogen worldwide. Infections due to MRSA are associated with higher mortality rates compared with methicillin-susceptible S. aureus . Meanwhile, bacteriophages have been shown to overcome the emergence of MRSA.
