Acute-onset postoperative endophthalmitis usually compromises the visual function and anatomical integrity of the eye. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of intraoperative cefuroxime use in irrigating solution on prevention of acute-onset endophthalmitis after phacoemulsification.
