This study was to determine the patterns of regional lymph node (LN) spread and the risk factors of retropharyngeal lymph node (RPLN) metastasis based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in hypopharyngeal squamous carcinoma (HPC) to improve clinical target volume (CTV) delineation.
