– Nowadays, one of the main concerns regarding road infrastructure development, is the introduction of connected and autonomous vehicles. Therefore, among other things, roads need to be improved in order to accommodate the combination of advanced connectivity systems and automated vehicles. The main goal of this paper is directed towards infrastructure responds to the mentioned challenges expected in the coming years.
