Calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD) is the most common form of valvular heart disease worldwide and is associated with increased mortality across the spectrum of severity of disease.[1][1] The 1‐year mortality rates among individuals with untreated severe symptomatic aortic stenosis nears 50%.[2
