May's biannual General Assembly of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), in Stockholm, was attended by more than 120 delegates from over 20 countries, and resulted in some fascinating and productive debates. Topics under discussion included bluetongue, pet travel, welfare at slaughter and animals in research.
