The low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR)-related protein 1 (LRP-1) belongs to the LDLR family, which includes LDLR, LRP-2/megalin, very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) receptor, and apolipoprotein E (apoE) receptor 2. Previous studies revealed that these receptors have distinct physiological roles in various organs. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
