The large number and variety of formats in use for storing protein coordinate data sets make it difficult to integrate the operation of programs from different laboratories. To ameliorate this situation a general input program, called MICRYFON , has been designed and written. MICRYFON will analyze and interpret many common protein coordinate formats without the specification of any `option' indicating which format the program is to expect.
