The article is devoted to the substantiation of the conditions for the successful preparation of the designer for project activities, as well as the implementation of these conditions using technology based on accumulated knowledge about the logical laws of compositional structure. It is established that the designer in the selection of techniques, methods and graphic tools relies on compositional training. The structure of the basic compositional concepts on the basis of professional terminology is considered, a methodically justified sequence of mastering professional competencies is built, which ensures the implementation of step-by-step preparation of the designer for design activities.
