This paper presents a three-dimensional elastic calculation of the stress-strain state of the reactor and the force and energy parameters fracture for an elliptical crack located in a cylindrical shell. It is found that for an elliptic crack, the force and energy parameters of the fracture change nonlinearly along the crack front. The qualitative and quantitative relations for the stress intensity factors (SIF and  J -integral along the crack front taking into account its size, the shape of the front and the angle of inclination) are obtained.
