When the machine tool feeding system is running at low speed, the creeping phenomenon of the system will occur, which seriously affects the machining accuracy of the machine tool and the surface quality of the parts. In this paper, the mechanism behind the creeping phenomenon generated by the machine tool is theoretically analyzed. The dynamics and mathematical model are established, and the critical equation for generating the creeping phenomenon is solved based on the dynamics and mathematical model which we established. The influence of various factors on the creeping phenomenon is obtained by the equation analysis. Some measures to eliminate creeping phenomenon are presented.
