The Orenburg oil and gas complex is one of the key participants in the Russian fuel-energy sector of economy. However, the Orenburg fields have moved to the final stage of operation. In this regard, the authors in article attempt to formulate and justify scientific-technical developments that allow to stabilize gas production and increase the resource potential through: the introduction of innovative geological-technical measures; the use of «CO 2 -technologies»; modernization of the gas collection and primary treatment system; changes in the technology of oil and condensate production; creating tools for the intellectualization of subsurface use, etc. The authors assessed the prospects of new technologies in terms of achieving sustainable gas production in the next 10 years in the amount of 10 billion m 3 . For all the proposed innovations, a positive economic effect was obtained, however, some of them did not affect the increase in the coefficient of hydrocarbon recovery from the reservoir, ensuring only the maintenance of the volume of raw material production at the field. The total increase in production over the calculation period will amount to 33.4 billion m 3  of gas and over 0.9 million tons of stable condensate.
