Whether weathered siltstone can be used for expressway subgrade filling, there is currently no clear regulation, and there is a lack of relevant evaluation standards. In order to solve the problem of expressway slag disposal and the source of subgrade fillers, relying on an expressway in northern Guangdong, the characteristics of compaction and disintegration of weathered siltstone material are tested and studied. The research shows that: the weathered sandstone material has strong softening and disintegration characteristics, but good compaction performance, and can be used for expressway subgrade filling. The filling process parameters of weathered siltstone subgrade are determined through field test.
