The paper attempts to critically consider the transfer of some inspiring concepts taken from holistic interpretations of quantum mechanics to the field of biophysics. This mainly concerns the concepts of “holonomy”, “implicate order” and “explicate order”, as well as “becoming” by physicist David Bohm. The deep historicity of all biological events, their processual, or more specific, evolutionary, and constructive character compels to reformulate concepts in the framework of biophysics.

Adaptation of some holistic conceptions of quantum mechanics to biophysical processes
