The mathematical model describing the centrally symmetric stress-strain state of an inhomogeneous elastic spherical body under the action of uniform all-sided compression is constructed. Approximate analytical solutions are found. The inhomogeneity of the elastic characteristics of the material is modeled by a radial non-monotonic elastic modulus at a constant Poisson’s ratio. Based on experimental data, the components of the stress-strain state are numerically calculated for the problem under consideration, and characteristic effects are revealed.
