There is a great number of applications used today to support decision-making in socio-economic sphere. Various approaches and tools are used to implement the applications. The article provides the overview of scientific publications developing software algorithms based on cognitive modeling and fuzzy logic. The authors develop the software tool to conduct simulation experiments to synthesize the topological structure of a cognitive model for socio-economic facilities and objects. The results from the simulation experiment aimed to study the structure of the cognitive model taken as an example, are presented as a digraph “Impact of the Media on Mass Audience”. The software uses the programming language Java, JavaFX.
