A Transmission lines airgenerally use ACSR type conductors. Increased demand for electrical energy, the effort to increase the transmission line capacity is done by optimizing the current carrying capacity of the existing transmission line, but the problem that arises in this optimization is the increase in voltage and the portion of the conductor. This study aims to determine the effect of channel flow instability on the conductor temperature, the conductor section, andongan angle and conductor voltage, which is then useful for the construction of the transmission line construction structure in accordance with the mechanical properties of the conductor used. The calculation in this study uses the heat balance equation to calculate the conductor temperature. The Basic Span Length method is used to determine the equivalent span length.
