Abstract A photonics‐based de‐chirp processor with the capability of processing dual‐band linearly frequency‐modulated (LFM) waveforms is proposed and demonstrated. Two de‐chirped signals will be output simultaneously and independently, while no special requirement of the input signals' chirp rates is needed. A proof‐of‐concept experiment is carried out. De‐chirp processing of dual‐band signals (X‐ and Ku‐band) is successfully implemented. The crosstalk suppression ratio of more than 40 dB is achieved with de‐chirped results in the two bands.
